Hi, I'm Sarah.

If you’ve ever noticed that stress doesn't just stay in your head—that it shows up in your jaw, your stomach, or a general sense of exhaustion—you already understand the core of how I work.

I’m a native Austinite, a mom of two boys, and a counselor who arrived at psychotherapy after spending nearly 15 years as an acupuncturist. Day in and day out in my acupuncture practice, I saw firsthand how deeply our emotional lives impact our physical bodies. Clients would come in for chronic pain, tightness, or fatigue, and as we worked together, it almost always became clear how much unexpressed stress, grief, or trauma their nervous systems were quietly carrying.

That experience changed my direction. I realized I wanted to help people address the emotional and nervous system roots of their pain—not just manage the physical symptoms on the surface.

You became a COACH because you want to help people to grow.

But you know most coaching techniques barely scratch the surface of what's actually driving your clients.

The CORE Training was built for coaches who are ready to work at a different depth

Yes, I want this!

What Sessions Feel Like

Therapy with me isn't about sitting in a sterile room while someone silently takes notes. I bring warmth, humor, creativity, and a lot of down-to-earth curiosity into the room. Healing deep patterns takes real work, but that doesn't mean our sessions can't feel relaxed, human, and welcoming of every side of you.

Because lasting change rarely happens from the "shoulders up" alone, we work from the bottom up—combining depth psychotherapy with body-centered tools.

Here is some of what we might draw on together:

  • Somatic Experiencing (SE): A gentle, body-based trauma approach that helps release stored stress and teaches your nervous system how to settle into safety again.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): A compassionate way to get to know the different "parts" of yourself—including your inner critic or the parts carrying anxiety—without judging them.

  • Relational & Experiential Work: Moving past just talking about an issue, so you can actually feel and practice new ways of being in real time.

Who I Work With

I love working with people who are looking for a deeper, more embodied way through what they're carrying. My areas of focus include:

  • Trauma Recovery: Healing acute or complex trauma, resolving nervous system overwhelm, and learning to feel safe in your body again.

  • Mind-Body Stress & Chronic Issues: Working with burnout, physical pain, and stress-related health conditions that traditional talk therapy hasn't fully reached.

  • Women, Teens & Young Adults: Navigating identity, big life shifts, relationships, and self-discovery.
